Bedroom furniture...

Bedroom furniture...

Eventually I want to get a new bedroom set. I love the furniture at Ethan Allan, but can't afford it. Our style is basically like Pottery Barn, Restoration Hardware, Crate & Barrel, etc.... but I've seen everything they have so far. Anyone else know of other similar companies that don't cost a fortune?

TIA!

OMG! I was going to post the same thing. we cannot find a bedroom set to save our lives! everything out there is so ornate and old fashioned looking, not to mention just plain ugly. And the best part is, they want like $4000 for GARBAGE!! Help! websites, stores anything!!

I want to say we saw a nice looking set with nice lines like mission style furniture in Seigermans on 110. I think the dresser, night stands, headboard & mirror were about 1300 plus they had a lingere chest & armoire.

I'l double check with DH.

I dont think you will find Restoration Hardware, etc.. style for cheap. Trust me, Ive looked.

The cheaper places like Seamans has some nice sets but they are hardly 'cheap' and no where near as nice in terms of quality as the stores you mentioned.

So we got everything from Ikea. I figure if Im not going to absolutely love it, why spend a lot?

Plus, you can always paint ikea furniture to change the look without stressing about ruining a really nice piece.

Did you try calling the NC companies to get better prices, The price I got in North Carolina for a Stanley set was about 1500 cheaper then I was quoted on LI. And there is no tax.

Also they ahd some nice things at Jcpenny, but I don't like dark wood.

In a recent home magazine, I saw that Broyhill has a new line which is a lot like the stuff from Ethan Allen. And I imagine at a much more reasonable price.
Not sure if they have a website.

Rte. 110 Home Furnishing Galleries has lots of bedroom sets for reasonable prices .. we got our entire set for under $2500, total. It's a Broyhill set .. Queen Sleigh bed, 2 nightstands, dresser, mirror, 5-drawer chest.
