OK - who has a pillowtop mattress? Do you like it? Do regular sheets fit over it (because of the topper)?
DH *insists* on one. Are they all 'soft' by nature? Or can they be firm and just have a soft pillow topper?
TIA

Re: Beds
Danielle and I bought one and it is being delivered this saurday. From what I know, the sheets have to have deep pockets, or you may be able to use King Size Sheets. It all depends on if the sheets are made for a Pillow top. If they are regular sheets then you will have a har time using them.
Danielle's mom got a pillow top mattress from the same place we are getting ours and she says she uses King Size sheets.
Pillow tops are mostly soft but they come in all types. They can be really firm or not so firm, and they also make a pillot top where the top of the mattress is all Soft Foam. We laid down on it at Seamans and I didnt want to get back up. Scott

Re: Beds
I have a pillowtop (both sides have the pillowtop which I just bought a couple months ago. So far all my deep pocket queen size sheets fit fine. I know I don't like super soft that you get too lost in the bed. Mine is soft and comfy with a touch of firmness. It is a Sterns and Foster (can't remember which line though off hand). Just go to the store and lay down on a bunch and you will see the difference between super soft and some that have a little more firmness....

Does anyone know a good set of sheets to get? All the sheets I get are not deep enough and they come off the bed after a few days. I think mine are 18'.

Re: Beds with pillowtops
We have a pillowtop on both sides of our mattress. We got it in Sleepys. Definitely go there and lay down on a bunch of mattresses. Make sure you and your DH lay together and lay as you would normally sleep - sit there for a few minutes...it's the only way you'll really be able to see what's most comfortable to you. The deep fitted sheets fit perfectly. I never have a problem finding sheets, I've bought in Macy's and JcPenny's.

Re: Beds with pillowtops
We had a pillowtop, but it is now in the guest room. We have used both regular sheets and deep pockets. We also got these sheet guard things for our bed to keep the sheets in place. Since we got our new bed (which I LOVE) we haven't had half as many problems keeping the sheets on the bed.

You can also get these bands taht attach to the underside of each corner - you snap each side to the sheet. I got them at Bed Bath and Beyond.
