Been awhile since my NYC wedding...friend wants recommendations on venues....need advice!

Hi all...

a friend is getting married in London, but wants to have a small ceremony/reception in NYC as well. She says it is going to be about 60-80 people and she wants some recommendations on venues. She wants to come in under 25K. I told her I just don't think that's possible, but if you ladies know of any reasonable places please let me know!

TIA!

The Players in Gramercy Park

ask for Woody they do a great job, its an old historic building overlooking the gramercy park and it used to be Edwin Booths old home..

there are actors in there all the time!!! Ethan Hawke, Jimmy Fallon, Robert Deniro are all member there

I think it can definitely be done. The most recent wedding issue of New York Magazine had lots of listings for wedding receptions on a budget. Some of the places they mentioned, off the top of my head, was the Alger house. You can also do a great reception at Bubby's in Brooklyn which has an amazing view of NYC. Also, there is the 3 West Club which I heard is reasonable for NYC.

In New York Magazine, they also mentioned Union Square Ballroom

What about the Explorer's Club? It's such a fantastic venue, and VERY reasonably priced.
