Already stressing about $$$. Not sure if we can swing it. Anyone else feeling like this?

Of course!! Its very hard to save for something like this.
I do understand. Since the market is down to buy a house, we push our wedding back from Nov 2008 to Nov 2010. It's hard and many employments aren't giving bonus or raises, so we are trying to think what is best for us.
I understand....we are on such a tight budget...the thing that's keeps me going is both FH and I have wonderful secure jobs and I know money will never be an issue. Together we can afford this wedding. My dad has been great and will help as much as he can....but it is still very difficult. I just tell myself this is only a once in a lifetime thing. My mother passed away 7 years ago and I know that she would want me to have this huge wedding...and I do. So knowing that...I keep telling my dad... Mommy would have let me do/buy it lol!
Fh & I have some responisbilities for paying for the wedding like flowers, photographer, honeymoon and limos and we freak out all the time. I think I would be even worse if I was paying for the whole thing. I give you ladies a lot of credit.
yes all the time, i wonder how we are going to pay for our wedding as well as a house! hopefully the housing market is still a 'buyers market' when i'm ready to buy..
allllllllll the time....when i have down time at work i always find myself figuring out how much we can save a week, month , year and what not
Yes!! Every day Im worried about money, FH comes home from work and says today with the money I made we can pay for ___ plates lol
... people dont stress about money? I am panicking almost every day with 'how will we afford the deposits, are we sure we can afford a wedding, are we sure we want to go through with the big wedding or just take a cruise'
constantly..with everything too! Ahhh the good ole economy :D
About 3 days after we got engaged I was in a pizzeria with my friend...just thinking about the budget and I started to cry! But since then I have a pretty good idea of what we are able to afford and each month money gets put away to save for the wedding. Its not easy- but with the budget we will be ok...Now the house is another story....
i have no idea how to pay for a wedding. i have not even began to look at places yet. we just look at places in a book & say 'that would be nice' or 'my daughter can get married there'. lol. i dunno what to do. i just took out a $5,000 loan from my parents to finish paying off my credit cards. so i am working two jobs to do that and am not saving any money for a wedding. to make things worse FH is no help. every time we try to look at places (in a magazine of course), his answer is i paid more for your e-ring. little does he realize that does not include the church, the band, the limos, and the 100 of other things. the only thing he wants to pay for is the honeymoon. his mom is only willing to pay for the florist & the rehearsal dinner. so i think i am going to live in a card board box after my wedding.

We've got the wedding down OK, it's the condo/house we need AFTER the wedding that's going to be interesting... we might have to join you in that cardboard box, better make it a duplex![]()
