Been to shower or wedding at The George Washington Manor?
I would love to hear reviews about this place. My mom is consdiering having my shower there (it is not a surprise because I work many weekends and there would be a good chance I wouldn't show up to my own shower :) ). Thanks in advance for any advice you may have.

We had our engagement party there in May (m)
and we were really happy with the place. We had the room to the right when you walked up the first staircase, and it was perfect. The matre'd was very helpful, and the food was wonderful. You'd have a great shower there!

been to both a shower and a wedding
I really liked the place. The food was very good. I don't have any complaints about the servce. The only concern would be the number of people. The room where the shower was (I belive it was upstairs in the restaurant part..not sure because it a year ago) overcrowded. It was a pretty big shower. The wedding I went to had about 130 and fit perfectly .. any more would have been too crowded.

It`s perfect for any occasion - rehearsal dinner, shower, etc. They have about 3-4 smaller rooms, that fit anywhere from 20-40 guests (I believe), and then the larger room for weddings on the first floor. Our party was on a Sat night in May, and they offered us 3 full course dinner options - I think they ranged from $45 - 65 pp (with dif. food selections), and it included champagne toast, open bar, passed hors derves, sit down dinner and 3 tiered cake.

My wedding was there!
It was awesome. People are still raving about the place, the food and the service...5 months later!!! I recommend it highly. Best choice we ever made!
