Yeah I'm probably going to start getting ready at noon...my church is at 3 and its a half hour away...then the reception dosen't start until 7...

i was originally gonna start getting ready at 11 for a 2pm ceremony (ours is 30 min away too)...but now we're thinking of changing the ceremony to 1 or 130 so i guess id get ready at 10ish.

but now that im hearing its more than 2 and a half hours i might make it a little earlier i dont know!

yeah my ceremony is at 3:30 but it was suggested we change it to about 2:30 bc of pictures. Which means i will start getting ready around 10:30 i guess

yeah i was thinking of getting sandwiches and wraps and stuff like that for when we all get ready.

Yeah i told FH that he can only have a max of 2 glasses before ceremony, i said one would be better lol...Its the only thing ive been strict about...plus he drinks scotch which is strong soit doesnt take much lol.

i think sandwiches and wraps are a good idea because u can order them or get them already made etc...and then theyre just there so u can eat them.

mine is all about the hennessy...and his friends egg him on and he of course listens. BUT we're having strict rules because i dont want us to end up with drunken pictures...especially since they cost $. so i htink im going to have to have a stern talk with the gms (hopefully at least one of them listens to me!)

Yeah trust me i know exactly how his friends will be, but thats why i put FMIL in charge of watching them while they're all getting ready at the house lol

ohhhhh really great idea!!!! totally telling fmil...she will stay on top of it! i think this just made my day!!!!

my ceremony starts at 2:30, my photog is coming at 12:30 - i am going to go first with hair and make up and then just take a few 'fake' pics getting read when the photog comes and then take more pics while everyone else is getting ready. . .

my family does an awesome job pre wedding. . . seriously all of you could probably come and get fed . . . we do dunkin donuts, bagels, heroes, champagne, coffee, fresh baked cookies. . . it usually all goes to waste but its kind of a tradition - if the wedding party is at my house, my aunt takes care of the food. . . and when my cousins got married my mom took care of it!

How much time are you alloting to get ready before the ceremony?

im trying to figure out about when i need our photographer to show up : )

Irene, figure that if ur ceremony begins at 4...right?, and we have to drive over to the church, and you want time in the bridal suite, figure to have them arrive at like 1 so they have 2 hours of before pics and then figure travel time etc. Are you having makeup and hair come to you or are you going to them? You have a lot of time to decide what you want to do as well and to price it out.

gina ure getting confused...ure going to miss my wedding! the pre cocktail hour begins at 4...the ch is 5...the ceremony is at 1, 130 or 2...hahaha this will all be in the bm package designed by jess!

and yes the hair/makeup ppl are coming there...i want to decide now so i can figure out if i need to get overtime for the photographer. if i need more hrs...id rather negotiate it into the package rather than pay the amount they suggest.

Yeeeah you will have to go over times with me. Im confusing my wedding with urs!!!
As per eating, won't the place have food in the bridal suite? That ay you don't have to worry about remembering goodie bags for us- well Jess wont have to worry about it.
