Before things get crazy again, I wanted to say, 'Hi!!!'

This past week, helping with Learning for Life/Camp for Debi's kids, has been exhausting!! We had about 400 kids this past week. Friday was especially hectic, but we got through it. Now one more day, this Thursday, we will have about 260 kids. Debi has gotten very little sleep, and yesterday, she moved!! Friday night we cleaned kitchen cabinets, and Sat., while she was guiding things at the new place, I was putting tape on box after box, and packing her stuff because she did not have time to do it, with her work schedule. All went fairly well, until, late last night. The guys had put a large indoor palm tree, too close to her beautiful, polished wood futon, and it fell, putting scrape marks along the arm of the futon. Poor Debi, who has not had much sleep, and been under a lot of stress, as you gals are too, I'm sure, lost it, and sat there crying. Fred and I reassured her that the furniture medic could fix the scratches. I pray Debi has a better day today. The new place, as you can imagine is wall to wall mess!! We still have to move her huge heavy dresser and four poster bed, and desk today, along with a gazillion boxes!! So, I guess I better get moving. Hope you girls have a wonderful day!! Awww...Mary sounds like you and Debi have been sooo busy. It certainly can be stressful trying to do the wonderful things she is doing for the kids and at the same time moving. I think you both need some of these

lol im almost done!! we are gonna start cleaning the basement today!! lol how sweet that you thoguht of me!! for noe the barbies are staying at MOM and dads till i get a display curio to fit them all lol

Things are going well! I can't belive its less than 4 months now! I totally can relate to debi's stress. I run for 500 students the 8th grade picinic, orientation, class trip, graduation and dance which all happen between May and June. Plus I run the retirement dinner in June as well. So when my brother put his elbow through the wall in our new house after we just painted in the room (while moving the fish tank) or when FH just this past week destroyed one of the new bushes we put in when cutting down a tree that was really close to the house (mind you I wanted to get someone who does it for a living to come in) I totally cried too!

You must be so proud though!! It sounds like Debi is doing amazing things with these kids and reaching out to so many of them. I am in total awe of her running this program!

Thanks everyone!!!!! Well, we didn't move the rest of the furniture today, but my Husband helped reposition furniture. The cable guy came to hook up the tv/computer. Then, Deb and I went shopping.
