Congrats! What does that exactly mean?

Fh is in the NYPD & he is in the Detectives unit Vice Squad. Only a certain few from each Squad gets put on a list (its a pretty long list since the NYPD is huge & there are hundreds of squads. Such as Vice, Narcotics, Human Trafficing, Gang etc.) So then the head Cheif makes his decision based on performance and yrs on etc. FH is only a Police Officer for 7 yrs. & a Det. for 5 yrs. Most of the other people who get grade are a Det for at least 10 yrs. So this decision is based soley on FH's work & performance on the job. It is very hard to get grade. There arent many done & when they are its a huge honor to get it. Basically FH will now make top pay (like a Lieutenant) and still make the Overtime of a reg. Detective. Its amazing. Im so proud of him!

HTH!
