I finally sat down to make a checklist and realized I barely have anything checked off!!! I'm starting to feel a little overwhelmed. I wish I could say I at least have my personal stuff handled but I still need my whole look (minus the dress) and I don't even know where to start. I have to buckle down and do hair this week and maybe find myself a belt for my dress. Sorry, random rant.

Beginning to panic! - Long Island Weddings
Don't stress....I felt the same way. We focused on one aspect each weekend and tackled it that way.

Deep breathe. Once you start planning a lot of things naturally flow from one another. Try starting with big ticket vendors. We found that helped us budget to get that out of the way.

Re: Beginning to panic!
Set up something to do week by week. There will be some less than busy months but the first step was making that list!

You're totally fine- you have plenty of time, even if the vendors might say you're doing things 'last minute'! (That definitely happened to me!) I'm just starting to look for hair and makeup now and there's plenty of availability. Looks like you've got your venue booked, so at least you know that the Wedding Must Go On... :)

FH and I are doing things as we feel they need to be done. We did the most important first and are working our way down. We are not even following the timeline. We are working on our invites currently, but I still have to do hair and make-up trials and cake sampling. We might not do a florist due to funds, but we are looking into silk flowers. We are trying to do at least one small thing each night. Last night we printed the RSVP cards, today he printed the mailing envelopes, when I got home from work he printed the reply envelopes and I stamped them. We still have to print the invites, create and print the church map and directions and number the reply cards. By Friday they should be done, no later than Sunday.
Do what you can, a little each night and you will be fine. If you have Monday off (or any holiday where a store/vendor is open), do something wedding related then. I am helping my Mom look for her MOB outfit.
Don't forget to breathe and enjoy the process. Good Luck.
