Being topless

Do people think this is disgusting?

What about a thong?

MY gf called me and said Barbie can I wear a thong to the pool party.
I said WHY would you even ask me!

If you got it flaunt it. That's what I say.
Things like that don't bother me. If you can wear a thong or go topless at a beach than I think that you are comfortable with the way your body looks.

It was nice of her to ask first!

Well I know what you think of this, but since you are asking us I guess you are trying to see how the general public would feel at a BBQ w/topless people in thongs.

Personally I would feel uncomfortable if I was at BBQ and people started removing clothes. A thong = naked to me. And I don't care how hot you are, I want to enjoy my burger without looking at tits and a$$.

I just can't picture my friends parading around my backyard topless... though who knows, maybe if I changed the house rules they'd visit more
I say some things need to be left to the imagination....

I have no problem with being topless at all, in fact I tried it at the beach for about 2 minutes this weekend. But my boobers are white, they'd burn, and I'd be in PAIN!

I don't know if I'd be comfortable with it at someone's house for a party though. But that's only because it's behaviour I'm not used to. If I were around it enough, I'd be comfortable and all would be okay.

I also agree that covering leaves the imagination to wander and is much sexier.

Kate..

Ok, I have no problem with a woman who has a killer body wearing what she pleases. I think if you got it flaunt it...if that's what you feel comfortable doing. I don't feel as strongly about the topless thing, I mean, I have nice boobs, but I would never go topless....I save them for my DH and he's the only one besides me and my gyno that will ever see them. .

I also think the nature of the party would dictate if I felt it was appropriate for a thong to be worn, or for someone to go topless. If it's an adult party where the mood is set for sexy people to have a good time and it's set by the party thrower that it's ok to do so (I agree with Kate, it was really nice of her to ask)....then fine and dandy. But if it's a family party, where kids could be around...keep the thong in the pants and the cousins covered is my opinion.

Except when eating, blech...don't go topless and in a thong while eating. I would be afraid of where crumbs might land.

But...jmho.

At the beach, I say go for it. I don't know why I just think there's something weird about being topless and in a thong at someone's house. JMO.

I think its fine at a beach. At a pool party...thong-fine but, topless...i think its a little wierd. Personally, if i showed up at a friends house for a pool party/bbq and people were walking around with no tops...i would be shocked. thats just my honest opinion

Re: Being topless

Although I do think the womans body is beautiful (especially prego women ! ) I think its more classy to not be topless or practically naked.
I dont think there's anything wrong with it or with anyone who feels comfortable with it. Having been to the beaches of Italy for so many years, In Europre, nudity is a more accepted part of their culture. Commercials on television contain nudity. (mostly just topless women). Kids are not phased by it. I think society plays a huge role in how we view nudity.
Its not disgusting, as much as we are 'taught' to beleive it is.

The body is a beautiful piece of art, but there's a time and place for everything.

and then again, depending on the crowd, 'whatever floats your boat'. The people at nudist colonies seem to have a blast, more power to them!

I think it depends on the crowd. If everyone is accustomed to nudity, then no one would be gawking and it would be fine. But if no one does this kind of thing, then people would staring and everyone would become self-conscious and then no one would have fun.

I dont have a problem with people being toppless, or wearing a thong as long as their body parts dont leave a trail

Re: Being topless

I agree with if you have it and are comfortable with it, flaunt it. The only thing I would be leary of, as someone mentioned, if it's a family party with either kids, or older aunts and uncles, etc, than I would say it is not appropriate.

I don't have a problem with it at all. I went topless in Europe, but wouldn't do it here. Just isn't in the culture I guess, but I don't mind people going topless or in a thong.
