Belly Bands & Postage?

Did anyone use cardstock belly bands for their invitation suite and have it affect the price of their invite postage? I'm done assembling everything but 2 invites, and before I slap stamps on them, I just want to be sure! I weighed them on my home scale and I am definitely below the limit for $.66 stamps - but I've also read that sometimes bulkiness can add cost, too. TIA!

Belly Bands & Postage? - Long Island Weddings

.46 for 1 oz max
.66 for 2 oz max

And bulk can add to the cost. They have a little template that they put my invite through. If it was too thick, it would have cost more. Mine are pocket invites with 3 cards and there was no problem, it was just the .66 cent stamp so you're probably fine with the belly band

I would take one to the post office and have them weigh it. They charge for bulkiness and square.

Re: Belly Bands & Postage?

Thanks! My invites aren't square, and they weigh under the limit and aren't bulky but I'd read on Weddingbee that sometimes the PO can randomly decide invites don't fit the requirements...I will take one to the office, though!

Belly Bands & Postage?

I have a belly band too and the 66 cent stamp was sufficant. I went to one post office and they attempted to make me add more postage so I went to another and there was no problem.
