Does anyone know where I can get a belt/sash for my dress for an affordable price? I tried on a Maggie Sottero belt with my dress (I did not like the optional belt it came with) but the one I like and want is $500 and the bridal place cannot sell it for less than that. She did suggest going onto Ebay or Etsy and searching 'Maggie Sottero Veronica' (that's the belt) and that Etsy could hand make a look alike for much cheaper, and then I could bring it in and they would sew it into the dress for me.
I'm just nervous about doing this... anyone bought a belt for their dress online?
I am NOT ready to spend $500 on a BELT. That is just insane to me!

I'm nervous about belts on etsy because I won't be able to return it if I don't like it. I'm going to try David's bridal and the fleamarket

Nordstrom's has some but you have to order online, but you can return it if you don't like it. I ordered one because I want sure and I needed to actually see the belt with the dress on, I ended up not liking it and returned it no problem.

I didn't like the belt My enzoani dress came w so I actually did mucho research and lots of measuring and drawing out the ones I saw online. And I finally Decided gt it On etsy and I love it. Here is a pic
That's a great question! The belt I loved was $900 but the salon told me to look at a fabric store or something. The belt was so perfect I'm considering buying it because it's easier but I don't wanna!! Lol
My friend actually got hers at Barrons! I was just there a week ago and their stuff is so nice!! I found a veil and headband I loved and they were so inexpensive!!

Go to Barron's with a picture of the belt and I bet they will be able to create them same for around much reasonable amount. My friend had her belt made there and it came out just as she asked. They made my hairpiece and veil at a quarter the price that the bridal salon had. Good luck!

I plan to go to the fashion district around herald square. They have tons of belts, veils, etc.

Its a limited selection but I saw Michaels had some. It's probably very hit or miss depending on the store but I saw some cute ones at the one in Medford near Sam's Club

you can also try M&J Trimming in NYC. i almost got a dress that needed a belt and the woman at kleinfeld's suggested going to M&J. They have a bridal shop in the back or you can just measure the size you need and get some nice trimming.

I got Maggie Sottero's Lorie dress & hated the belt. Went to Barron's & fell in love with a headband that they made into a belt for me. Pic in my review.

I also chose a different belt for our gown. I went with one by Jim Hjelm. The woman at the bridal salon actually had a great idea of wrapping the original belt around our bouquet!
