Benihana's in Westbury

For those interested I found out that:

The brand new Benihana restaurant at Westbury, NY finally opens on Monday, April 07, 2003 for dinner at 5:00 PM. It has been postponed several
times, but this is definite.

Just an FYI

Re: Benihana's in Westbury

I'm curious to try it - but I have to say the one in Manhasset is not as good as Shiro - so I'm sure I will continue to go to shiro - but I have to say the new place looks very small - I would be interested in checking it out. They have been delaying opening for a while (I heard they were trying to recruit at Shiro)

Re: Benihana's in Westbury

I grew up near the one in Manhasset, and it was definitely better back then....I went there for my bday a few yrs ago and we were disappointed. Maybe this one will be better though!

Re: Benihana's in Westbury

I definitely like Shiro's better but I know some people were waiting for this site. They were trying to recruit at Shiro (a chef there is my FI's friend) but none of the Shiro's chefs left

Re: Benihana's in Westbury

OH Definitly Arirang!!
Much better than Benihana. I've been to the one in Bklyn. I'm sure Staten Island is just as good.
Hopefully the Benihana is better in Westbury.
