Bermuda

Has anyone been to Bermuda? We are going there on our honeymoon next week and I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on must-see sights.

yes, i love bermuda and have been there twice!

elbow beach and horseshoe bay are a must. you have to rent scooters too. you can travel the whole island in one day with them. when i went there was a greta martini bar across from where the ships dock. dolphin quest is amazing. and you should check out the crystal caves.

The island is not big. Are you going on a cruise or flying? If you are on a cruise your waiter will have the inside info of all great places. when I went 10 years ago we went to the hog penny pub which was a great place to hang out. We also went to a club called the oasis and a bar called o'malley's. The cover charge for the oasis back then was $15 bucks and it was alright.

Make sure you try a rum swizzle the native island drink.

Horseshoe bay beach is one of the nicer beaches. Try renting a scooter to get around. it is much easier then trying to get a taxi especially if you go to the perfumery and the crystal caves (a must go to spot). The taxis will drop you off and it is hard to get a taxi back to where you are. There is also the fort which is interesting. Front street is where all your stores will be.

There are maps wherever you go. Like I said it is not a big island and everyone is friendly there. They will help you out.

I plan on going there for my honeymoon because I enjoyed it when I went there. If you have any questions, please FM me.

You will love it!! I went on my honeymoon 36 years ago and then for my 30 Anniversary. I also went with my daughter once and each time it was just as great as I remembered. The thing that impressed me the most is that there is no area that is unsafe, that you need to stay away from. The locals are very friendly and they are very helpful to tourists. The bus system is extremely organized and easy to use, or rent scooters if you can ride a bike. (I know personally that not everyone can.)
Oh, don't forget you will need a passport, and maybe your marriage license to prove your name change if your tickets are made out in the name of Mr. and Mrs. I'm speaking from experience here. LOL!!!

HAVE A GREAT TIME. WOULD LOVE TO SEE PICS WHEN YOU RETURN.
