Re: BERMUDA FOR HONEYMOON?
I hate flying too!!! this past july i went on a celebrity cruise from NY to bermuda it was wonderful...so relaxing no flying(the best part) and we were treated like royalty. These cruises are weekly through may-september on celebrity
We went to hamilton for 2 days and st. george for 2 days.
The island of bermuda is amazing, we went to horshoe bay, tobacco bay, and just walking around the town is just amazing the colors of the houses are sooo pretty...
not sure if you want to do a cruise, but its such an amazing option if you hate flying and i see your wedding is in the summer, you would be able to get a cruise no problem since that is the time to go to bermuda.
My parents also went to bermuda for their honeymoon...only downside is my mother hates flying, that was her first and last flight on a plane, the whole time she was there she was worrying about the flight home.
FM me for info on cruises, i have a great agent i deal with!!!!

I've never been there, but tripadvisor www.tripadvisor.com is a great source of information with real reviews, etc. and photos.

Re: BERMUDA FOR HONEYMOON?
Bermuda is my absolute most favorite island (but is it pretty expensive). For resorts look at The Reefs it is a small hotel with a lot of beach front rooms. Also Elbow Beach is nice but it is a bigger hotel. I believe Ariel Sands may have some suite type accommodations. I stayed at The Fairmont Southhampton which I loved but it is just regular hotel rooms. Let me know if you have any other questions besides it being my fav island, I used to be a travel agent!

Bermuda is goregous - and expensive. When we stayed, we were in the Princess Hotel. Totally beautiful and amazing - but again, expensive. Breakfast for two at the hotel was about $60! (this was at the hotel - there are other options, but keep in mind of the cost).

Bermuda is GREAT - I suggest cruising there.
Celebrity is great, and there's also a Royal caribbean cruise that leaves from Philly....they're both GREAT!!!!

Re: BERMUDA FOR HONEYMOON?
bermuda is very expensive!!!
1 dollar here is like 50 dollars there.
its great on the ship, cause the food is included!!! and its just alot of fun When i went in july, it was for the july 4th weekend, I met a girl there that was on her honeymoon, and she had her family with her!! i duno if i would like that but she seemed tobe having a great time! Oceanview stateroom for 7 days was 2150 a person!!
bermuda is a relaxing place, and great during the time of year of your wedding.
Bermuda was my first celebrity cruise, and 1 week after i was back i booked my 2nd one, in march06 for 2 weeks, cause 1 week is sooo short...this leaves out of new york also. and sails a bunch of different islands. Also to show how expensive bermuda really is, My 12 nite cruise to bahamas, st. thomas, st. martin, Puerto rico...is 2200 per person, and this is an upgraded concierge class room with a LARGE balcony, so you can see we are almost doubling are stay for about the same price with a room and super large balcony and concierge class!!

Re: BERMUDA FOR HONEYMOON?
I love Bermuda!! It is just so beautiful! I went on a cruise to Bermuda. Celebrity is my favorite cruise line. The only thing is, they have there oldest and smallest boat going in and out of Bermuda so keep that in mind. If you have been on a newer cruise lately, you might be disappointed.
I looked into Bermuda for our HM. We were going to stay at the Reefs hotel in a Junior Suite. The Junior Suites had just been renovated. The hotel is small, but voted one of the top hotels. It includes dinner and Breakfast everyday. The other hotels I looked into was Elbow Beach and The Southhampton. The beaches in Bermuda are stunning!! The people are nice and the island is super clean.
It is very expensive, so be prepared. Also, it is a very layed back vacation. If you are looking for excitement every minute, it is not the place for you.

This is true, the zenith and horizon are the oldest ships built in 1992, but from what i have read on the cruisecritic.com message boards zenith is going in for a full overhall during drydock. The reason the ship sails into bermuda is the bigger ships cant dock there, The zenith is a small boat in good shape when i went this summer, it was my first cruise though. Good luck with your decision!!

Just make sure you are going during the warmer months up here. Because if you go during the winter months it does NOT get that warm, because it is right off the Carolinas.

I have been on alot of cruises so, the older boats are not so exciting anymore. If it is your first cruise, it is great! But, if you have been on the newer and bigger boats, you will be dissapointed. That will be nice, if it is getting a total overhall.
