Re: Bermuda Info?? or TA Info??
ive been to bermuda twice through a cruise... i cant tell you where to stay but as far as beaches go horseshoe bay is AMAZINGGGGG and so is tobacco bay. I would either stay in Hamilton or St. George. St. George is more of a old town while Hamilton is touristy. both very nice though and definately both worth a visit!!! The beaches though are GOOORRGEOUS!!! (i think i mentioned that already) horseshoe was my favorite because aside from being GORGEOUS, if you walk down a bit you can get your own private beach.....
King wharf is also a tourist place they have swimming with the dolphins, rum cake factory and glass factory ( but i dont think you can stay there ist more of the industrial place of bermuda
trust me you will be in heaven!!!

Re: Bermuda Info?? or TA Info??
I took a cruise there with FH 5 years ago (god that sounds like ages!!!) we departed out of NY on Celebrity and booked through Cruisesonly.com. We spent a few nights at Hamilton (the capital- very touristy like previous poster said), and I think 2 nights at St. George- I LOVED St. George!!! It was so quaint!! I don't know if they still do it, but they do a parade through town that ends at city hall, and it's so nice!! I remember seeing a bagpipe band and stepdancers.....it was great since it was free!! I think at the time that was only done once a week (Wednesday I believe). The water in Bermuda is amazing!!! Make sure you go jetskiing, we did and it was so much fun!!!

If it is in the 70's that would be great for me! FH loves cold weather..skiing etc..I love hot weather beaches and sand.....so if it is not that hot would be a good thing so FH will not be complaining and will go outside and spend time together!

Re: Bermuda Info?? or TA Info??
FH and I cruised there out of Philly almost 2 years ago. It was BEAUTIFUL ! ! ! If you are going to fly down there and stay at a hotel, it kind of doesn't matter where on the island you stay because you can reach ANY part of the island by bus or ferry in less then an hour.
Definatly go to Crystal Caves. Also the Swizzle Inn. The museum / zoo is interesting also, you can learn a LOT about the history of Bermuda, and why all the roofs are stepped and white.
Also, if you are in St George, there is a walking 'loop' that FH and I did. It was about 3 miles, and brought us near some history, past a BEAUTIFUL beach, past some locals and their houses, and past another beach that you can find all sorts of sea glass that has washed up on shore from the numerous ship wrecks off the coast. (FH says I am so 'gay' sometimes)
King's Wharf has a glass blowing factory, a rum cake factory (YUM) and a little crafters 'mall' that was nice. Hamilton (the capitol) has soooooo many shops and a few churches with gourgeous stained glass windows.
Overall, the island is amazing, and I wish FH wanted to go back there for our HM, but we are going somewhere different. Some might say the prices for food and gifts are a bit $$$ but IMO they are no worse then NYC ! ! !
