I am stuck on choosing either of these two. Which is a better Honeymoon spot? I know some of the islands (St.Thomas) are better for day trips involved with cruises, not too much to do? What about Bermuda or Bahamas? Thanks!
Assuming you are going during the summer (when the weather is warm in Bermuda)....
Bermuda is not only beautiful but also a fabulous island in general - there are some great restaurants, cute towns, etc..
Bahamas are also very beautiful but the poverty is apparent everywhere you go (off the resort) and puts a damper on the romantic environment you're trying to acheive.
I looked into Bermuda, but since the island is parallel to the Carolinas, it gets cooler there from early October on, so that was out. Also, there isn't a whole lot to do there, so it you can't go to the beach and swim, you'd probably be bored after a day or two.
Sorry - I don't have any info on Bahamas.
I am going to Bahamas in a few weeks for a getaway and have been there before. Where were you looking into staying? As for Bermuda, I have heard nothing but wonderful things about the island, but I have never been there. If you are going in the summer I would choose Bermuda from what people have told me that have already been there.
We are planning the Honeymoon for the end of May, so both should be hot weather. Thanks for all the responses.
