Beside myself...Very long Just had to get it off my chest

I havent been on because my uncle died. My dad had 3 brothers and growing up my brother and I were the only neice and nephew until I was 15yrs. so it was like have 2 extra dads. My uncle went through something that I really dont want to get into in the last 3yrs. and for some reason decieded to alienate the family kinda. He would show up to family functions but cause alot of comotion for no reason. The last time I saw him was on Sat 6/30 at my cousins HS graduation party and we werent speaking(his choice told DH when he said hello to him that he was still mad at me and my brother/which made no sense because the last time I saw him we were talking and everything was fine except that he was rude to me/which I ignored)and he left early to go on a cruise with his friends which pissed everyone off because he left his own sons graduation party to do something that he could have done another day. Well that Thurs. night following the party my brother called me at 1am to tell me that someone im'd my little cousin that night and wanted to know if his dad was okay because they hadnt heard from him and when they called his job they said he hadnt shown up all week or called in sick. So my cousin woke his mom and had her drive him to his house to check on him with his brother. They used their key to get in and when they went into his room they found him. They ran out and my aunt called 911. So I got in my car and picked up my brother and then went to my uncles house where my cousins aunt and uncle were waiting out in the ran because the police sealed the apt. When the ME showed she said he had been gone for atleast 4days. The last outgoing phone call was on Sunday afternoon. They have no idea yet what happened and wont for 6wks. Well the funeral had to be planned ASAP as you can imagine why and it was a disaster because they locked his apt. and all his documents are sealed inside so we couldnt give him a military funeral(my uncle was a marine)because his discharge papers were needed and they are in the house and I had to fight with the pct. to get a copy of his drivers license and social security card. Thank god my aunt talked the police into giving her the ins. policy at the house that night. Then my one a$$ of an uncle(his oldest brother)deceides he already has vaction planned so he cant make the funeral Tells my aunt well it's not like he ever did anything for me or visited my house Can you believe he said this!!!!!!! I know you guys dont need to know this but I just had to vent Im so crazy that he's gone. I loved my uncle so much and Im so hurt that he might not have known that because one of his idiot friends showed up to the funeral and read a letter from another friend which said that he loved his family deeply even though they didnt return the favor(totally inappropriate in my opinion to be read in front of his family at the funeral)which was so untrue!! Then he was buried Tuesday in the same grave as my dad(he died 7yrs ago)and my dad and I were very close and I thought I was going to lose it because it felt like I was burying him all over again. Now he wont be at my wedding either and having him and my other uncle there was the only thing that was going to make not having my dad there alittle easier. Thanks for listening and again Im sorry for venting but I felt like no one understands and Im ready to burst.

I cant even tell you how horrible it's been especially for my cousins who found their dad they are 18 and 22. Especially not to be vivid but he had been gone for 4days and there was no air in the apt. That is not the way I would wish anyone to find their dad!! The funeral home even refused to dress him but to lay his clothes on top of him. This I feel couldve been said to my aunt or myself but they didnt need to hear it. Then to make matters worse my mil wouldnt watch my two youngest who are 3 and 5yrs old so I had to bring them to the funeral and the cemetary and that made matters worse because they of course thought it was a party since all their cousins where there and couldnt understand why their uncle was in a box(as my 3yr. old ran around telling people) so DH had to miss the entire service both days because he was stuck in the bsmt of the funeral home with them to keep them quiet. Then they kinda freaked at the grave so DH had to keep them in the car so again he didnt have a chance to say goodbye and I could see how pissed he was getting. There was just so much that was crazy and unnecessary.

I'm so sorry for you and your family and for your uncle....seems like he had some problems....I'm sure he knew how much you loved him.
