Besides LIW'S

What did you miss the most during the Blackout?
For me it was having no radio,not knowing what was going on
But the darkness was pretty wild
Definatley something to remember

I agree not knowing what was going on was scary. Being so close to Manhattan, I thought something went down there. I missed FH the most

after about a half hour of the power being out, i go ' ok im going on liweddings'..... when i said it aloud i realized there was no computer

My fan. And fh, he is in florida. I like it when we are together and the power goes out- it's nice to be together with no tv! Quality time! (hard to get him away from it otherwise!)

Talking to my hubby. I did not like the feeling of not being able to get in touch w/ him!
He finally was able to call as he was walking over the bridge.

TV. I'm a news junkie and a huge Yankee fan and I felt very isolated not being able to watch the news. I also did not have a portable radio but was lucky to buy a shower radio at Radio Shack yesterday.

I missed Frankie! That was a very lonely feeling. I was hanging out with the neighbors but it was so sad not being able to reach him whenever I wanted!

Being able to just sit back and go with the flow! DH gets major cabin fever and it's like trying to entertain a 3 year old! I end up being the social director so he doesn't mope and drive me crazy. He hates to play cards or board games, so we ended up going for a walk, and we realized one of our phones was a land line so finally later in the evening he was able to call some of his family. I'm perfectly happy just sitting back reading for a few hours.

Other than that, I missed my ceiling and window fans and Fox News Channel.
