Besides Preservation - what to do with dress?

I don't want to keep the entire wedding dress (I just don't have space), but I want to make something out of it for memories sake. Any ideas?

Someone told me to make a pillow, etc, but I'm not really crafty...

haha I thought about that but mine's is really dirty on the bottom - I did the day after photo shoot and I was climbing over huge rocks

I mentioned a day after photo shoot or a trash the dress shoot to FH and he thought it was corny...and just another way to spend some money! oh well :(

Can you get the dress cleaned? Or...You can mention that in the ad...and also your height...a bride shorter than you would be shortening the dress anyway so the bottom would be chopped off for the hem ....

Haha I was 5'2 or maybe 3 if I'm lucky in the wedding dress and shoes I can't imagine someone needing to cut off the hem!

The day after shoot was a lot of fun, DH wasn't into it either but after he saw the pictures he was pretty impressed. try to convince him!!

If you have a daughter one day you can use the material to make an outfit for her for any special occasion. It doesn't have to be a Christening.
I heard you can also donate your dress and it will be a write off on your taxes.

I think I'm leaning towards either donating or creating something sentimental. I haven't decided how crafty I'm going to try to be!
