soooo true wow nicely put...I remember before i met FH i was like UGH i dont want to settle down, i just wanna enjoy my life...I always put on the hardcore act but of course deep down inside i felt different

Well he has bought me material things but the best things from him that i treasure are the letters he writes me...He writes beautiful letters that are a few pages long or sometimes 1 page long, or even cards and really expresses himself and says amazing things...Hes also a real good writer and to me those letters are my favorite

oh he also named a star after me, and it comes with a big framed certificate and a silver bracelet with a heart charm that has the name of the star, which he named 'denisa2215' yes thats my real name denisa lol, and it has the location of the star in the sky

I always wondered about this. Does it guarentee that this si the only name it has? What if scientists find out something about it and they report it in the news story or something- will they refer to it as 'denisa2215'? Haha Im such a dork but i have always wondered about this!

yes bc it is registered with some congress hall, i have a bunch of papers for it actually and maps for where its located and stuff lol

Thats so cool, FH told me about this but never did it. Can you pick a location for it?

He got me gorgeous diamond earrings last christmas.


Also..since we live together...the BEST gift is when I come home and he has cleaned the house from top to bottom. I can smell the bleach a mile away. LOVE THAT.

hmmm...tough one, maybe my Beatles box set....he does a nice job getting me stuff all the time....maybe it was our 2nd anniversary too when he got me a diamond heart necklace but didn't give it to me for a while....he bought me one of those Igia electrosage things as a decoy....I open the box and it says 'Helps sculpt your butt and thighs' and i turn to him and go....what the H ell is this???? LOL...he's a jacka$$

a little background: i used to play violin from 1st grade - HS. gave it up, but always talked about wanting one, just to have, in case the mood ever struck me. if you know FH he doesn't sneakily plan things, he's just not that type of guy. on our 5th anniversary - he comes home from boston for the weekend, and he's carrying a violin case - because the 5th year is wood...

it was the sweetest gesture. granted i haven't played it yet (3 yrs later) but the fact that he did that, thought about it, and surprised me meant the world to me.

It's funny, I don't know if I shared with you all that I met my FH at the Dunkin' Donuts by our house..yeh, you hear that right!!! It was through an X-friend, but we flirted with each other for years before anything happening. I was so over finding Mr. Right because anyone I met and dated was so Mr. Wrong...I really thought God intended for me to stay single and be an independent woman. Loving coffee and spending time at Dunkin' Donuts ( on LI there aren't many hang out spots to just kick back LOL ) led me to God's gift..my future husband, best friend and other half!

i would agree with you denise. those are def the best gifts i have from FH! I have saved every card FH has given me (and he always writes something really touching and sweet inside). I have a card for every month anniversary from month 1 til 1 year then 1 each year after (and other holidays)

Fh has also written my letters and poems and I cherish those so very much. FH and I even kept a journal for a week when he went on vacation with his family and i didnt go (we were only dating 6 months).i still have that. its nice to go back and read all this stuff every now and then, to reflkect on and remember!

I have to say there were three things:

1. First time he told me he loved me (and gave me his heart)
2. When he gave me his grandmothers earrings
3. When he gave me my promise ring one year before he proposed to me.

I LOVE callas and for our first christmas, FH had a a white gold calla pendant made for me with a diamond in the center of the stem.

the fact the he had it made for me was so special to me, and we were only dating 1 month.

one year anniversary he surpised me with a limo, roses, dinner at The View (marriott) and we went to the top of the empire state building...and a diamond heart shape pendant
