best 1 yr mark day

today was the best day ever! me and FH met with a potential photog and we really really liked him personally which was very important to me. I am a bit conflicted on either to book him or to meet with some other photogs, so I need u girls to help me figure that one out: his price is awesome and cheaper by a half from other quotes I have gotten, and he seems to understand really the kind of style of pix we want, and his shots of models (he is also a model/fashion photog) are amazing. the problem is that some of his pix of the wedding are way too traditional for my taste (his explanation is that was what the brides wanted), but the shots that he pointed out that we really liked were his idea - fun shots that aren't posing pix. I really want to book him, but scared to get that whole traditional look... what to do? money is our biggest issue right now, and he is even under our budget (!), and we get free e-pix and an assistant and he has amazing equipment. I really don't think we can get anything remotely close to it anywhere else for double his price.
hmm... what do u guys think?

then after I got to talk about me and FH and what WE want (awesome!) a friend of mine who I haven't seen in months and was on a trip w/his FW called that they are in the city and are dying to see us, so we spent some time w/them.

All in all a great, sunny, fab day!

eta: oh and I got the nicest note from the sales lady at Macy's where I got my dress, thanking and congratulating me for my purchase!

As for the photog question -- its never a bad idea to see what else is out there. You should make a list of required photos and see if he will be able to do them. That way you can avoid all the traditional ones you do not like.

I'm not really up to the photog booking part yet, so idk if I can be much help except to say if your gut tells you it's right, go with it. If not, shop around a little, but make sure to ask this guy if he can do the shots that you want.
