Ladies-- What would you say is the best/most helpful advice you got about getting married???
For me, it was to take a picture of yourself in your wedding dress before you buy it. That way, you can make sure it looks good in pictures I almost bought a dress but then in pictures I saw it looked wrinkled!

At the end of the day if you're married to the one you love, then it all went right. (Something to that effect.)

Don't sweat the small stuff in regards to the planning because the day goes by fast and guests don't notice all the small details that you work so hard on. Just enjoy the day because at the end of the day all that matters is that you are married.

Someone told me on the day of to not go crazy worrying about all of the details, to delegate everything before the day and just relax and don't sweat the small stuff. Something might not go exactly as planned but just let someone else deal with it and keep the day going. Also to remember it's our day and to stop worrying about accommodating everyone else. And to take a minute with FH alone and just look around and soak it up because it's over really fast......for me this was all the best advice I could hear, I guess I can be a little high strung so I needed to hear this lol. Hopefully I can takes this advice on the day of!

Two things:
1. my sister who just got married said to just 'go with it' when the bridal shower, bachelorette, and wedding happens and not to stress over little details because then you'll only remember the negatives of the day.
2. My FMIL told my FH: 'the day you get married, what's yours is hers and whats hers is hers' LOL that's my favorite piece of advice

Someone told me that when the day of the wedding comes around to take 3 moments..
1 to yourself before the ceremony to just reflect on everything
1 after the ceremony and before the reception where it's just you and your husband to soak in your first moments together
and the last during the ceremony to capture all of your friends and family there to celebrate the day with you. She told me to just take a mental picture of it all and know that everyone is there for the same reason.. Love..

LOVE this!!
@natalierose: Totally agree about not accommodating everyone else. So many people try to put their two cents in, and when it comes down to it- it's about you and your FH!

Over and over I hear the very good advice to not worry about the little things. However, I find it just impossible to let the smallest detail go by without angst and debate. I an deep in obsession mode. I know I am setting myself up for posts wedding withdraw big time! LOL I will need a big post wedding project to fill in the gap for sure!!

3 things I've heard.. #1. Everyone will always have an opinion so don't stress about making everyone happy. #2. No matter how much you spend, you are not more married than anyone else you just might have more in your bank account. #3. Take a few mins with your husband to really look around & take it all in..it goes too fast.
