Best advice I ever got.....

Best advice I ever got.....

Ok so I was talking to a co-worker of mine and she was asking me what shoes I was wearing for the day of, so I told her Manolos.

So she told me what she did the day of her wedding was she wore her day of shoes to the church & pics etc, but then at the RH she changed into professional dance shoes(the ones they wear on dancing w/ the stars, broadway etc..) So I was a little skeptical on doing that but I went last night to the store in NYC 7th ave bet. 23 & 24 checked them out tried them on and FELL IN LOVE. They have to be the most comfortable shoe I have EVER put on!!!!! And honstly they arent that bad looking at all

I realllllly recommend you girls looking into it so your able to enjoy the entire night without having to worry about the pain!!!

HTH!

great idea! That way you can hem the dress for the sexy shoes and then not drag it around on the floor after.

that is a really great idea. i plan on wearing flip flops for the majority of the day, otherwise, i'd totally do that suggestion.

I agree, I think right after we are introduced into the reception, the flip flops will come on!

I had been thinking of this awhile ago, but didn't start looking. What's the name of the store you went to?

Im an actor in musical theater.

If you want 'dancing' shoes you MUST buy LaDuca shoes.

They are on 7th and West 47th I think. I use them on stage and they are amazing. Comfy and 'giving'.

I also bought a pair of Burju shoes I THOUGHT I would use for the wedding, but instaed use them for 'everyday'. SUPER DUPER comfy!!! Plus you can customize heal hight, width etc.

In the long run, I bough a pair of shoes from Kleinfelds that are made by a salsa dancer for bridal. I tried them on and they feel like clouds on my feet. 2 1/4 ' heel. Exactly what will work for my wedding and being in shoes all day.

Hope this helps.

Just FYI, these are not the sort of shoes you can wear anywhere but a dance floor or a carpet....you will ruin the bottoms of them.

for any of you suffolk girls that are interested in doing this. go to lastrada in deer park (by tanger) they are really competitive with pricing.
thats where I send my students for dance shoes.

honestly you couldnt even see my flip flops! i guess it all depends on the dress but i had a ball gown dress so couldnt even see my feet thats why i didnt car so much about taking my shoes off to put the flip flops on.

my sister & mom purchased there day of shoes from that store. recommended by a ball room dance teacher.

they where told that if they bring the shoes to a show maker & have them put rubber soles on them its no problem walking outside.
