I haven't been to that many weddings in my life. In fact, I can count how many on one hand.
I'm curious to know what was the best, most unique/memorable thing you ever saw done at a wedding and what was the worst, most tacky thing you ever saw at a wedding?
Just looking to get some ideas!

Re: Best and the Worst?
Ironically, the best and worst things I can remember were at the same wedding. The wedding was at Russo's. Best was they used Paris for their music, and they were awesomeeeeeee!!!!!!!! Worst was the way they entered. They were introduced as a silouhette (sp?) kissing behind a screen, and then they screen came up. Just thought it was corny.

Re: Best and the Worst?
Hmmm the best thing I've seen was when a bride and her mom danced together at a wedding. Her father had just passed away a few months before the wedding so it was a very special (and bittersweet) moment for the two of them.
The worst thing I have seen was when the groom ripped his shirt off and climbed on top of a chair and started carrying on making a scene when the song 'here i go again on my own' came on. Why anyone would play that at their wedding is beyond me but he seemed to enjoy it lol
Oh one other thing (different wedding) for the BP entries each member took a piece of their outfit and switched it with their partners until it got to the point where one of the groomsmen walked in wearing a BM dress and then the BM wore the GM's tuxedo. The best man then followed in a toga (yes toga) which he made out of a table cloth. This wedding was also at Russo's on the Bay...LOL Russo's was AMAZiNG though!!

I think what made one wedding I went to amazing was the DJ. I think music is super super important bc another wedding I went to was not as good bc the music was eh.

Re: Best and the Worst?
hmm best would be bagpipers outside the church, I just love them. Worst is a tie between beer served in cans & a costumed Winnie the pooh that a brides father paid to come and dance with his daughter...

Best- i feel like the best parts weddings weren't from vendors, but from the guests and what you make of it! My fave memories are from chatting with the table and dancing like a maniac with great music and best friends
worst- it bothers me to see guests dressed or act inappropriately! but i think the WORST thing i saw at a wedding was when the bride's chair was lifted up, she rolled out of it and onto the floor!

Re: Best and the Worst?
Best: This couple aren't really dancers. They had a DJ but during the wedding the groom sang an acoustic song to the bride, then did a song with a full band consisting of his brother, sister and father. It was very personal, and it helps that they are all very musically gifted.
Worst: A completely tacky wedding all around. They had a cash bar, neon colored bows EVERYWHERE, and the DJ did not speak English. During the first dance, they had a simultaneous confetti drop with automatic sparklers. Needless to say, the waitstaff was already surrounding the couple with fire extinguishers before they were even set off. Oh, they had a fog machine going at the same time. They venue also didn't have an elevator and the stairs were uneven, which made it difficult for handicapped guests.

The best thing I ve seen at a wedding was at woodbury country club, th cocktail hour and the Viennese hour were INSANE!
The worst thing I seen at a wedding was a groomsman go swimming in the fountain then come running into the ballroom and sliding across th floor

Best: My friend's mother is a very talented singer and wrote/recorded a song for them to dance to for the first dance (her father is not involved).
The Worst: At my girlfriend's wedding, the groom's cousin was belligerent drunk. He accused the MOH's boyfriend of hitting on his girlfriend (also a BM). He started a physical fight in the parking lot, resisted arrest, and was carried by police into a car. It was SO trashy. My friend was so upset when she found out. Thank goodness it was as everything was ending, but EVERYONE who was leaving saw the spectacle.

Re: Best and the Worst?
Best - AMAZING music and food are always memorable to me!
Worst - at one wedding, the bride and her bridesmaids all changed into yoga pants and 'bride' and 'bridesmaid' tank tops in the last hour of the wedding. hello, it's your wedding day - you couldn't wait to let your HUSBAND take off your dress at the end of the night? It's ONE DAY ladies... suck it up.

Best: Cupcake tier instead of cake (all different flavors) Worst: A BM changing into adidas pants and flip flops during the wedding
