BEST and WORST

If I ask this question will it cause drama?
What's the best and worst wedding favor you've received? I guess we could only say best, or we could say both, or we could say why... IDK. I'm just curious, but not looking to stir the pot!

I've never gotten wine....i like that idea though!

Best: Coasters....they are green and my room is green so they are perfect! The greenish love ones.

Worst: havent gotten a worst. I've gotten the coasters like 3 times

Best- these gourmet cupcakes with their colors and lots of yummy frosting.... I'll always love an edible favor

Worst- They had small bottles of 'table wine' at each place for people to take home as their favor, ok...we got home to try it, took one sip and threw it out...it was awful. Cute idea in theory, they even made their own labels, but we couldn't even make ourselves drink it. Shame bc they prob all went to waste.

Best: One of those cookies that are in the shape of a ribbon and the couple donated to a cancer organization that did research for the type of cancer her father passed away from. I thought that the cookie was a very nice touch and I think everyone really liked the idea is was in memory of her father.

Worst: lol I was going to say coasters. But as mentioned above it was her best. It just shows you can't please everyone lol

Re: BEST and WORST

Oh good, no drama! :)

Best - My (step) brother and sister's mother made the most beautiful stained glass leaves (brother's fall wedding) and butterflies (sister's June purple and butterfly wedding). I have them on my sliding glass door as the seasons change and have also gotten a snowflake stain glass item so I can always have something hanging there!

Worst - ceramic inc cream cone. They were on a table and we didn't know whether it was one per person or per couple, so we just took one. So now we have one ceramic ice cream cone sitting in a drawer.

Re: BEST and WORST

I think there are 2 that stand out for me, one is heart coasters, i think everyones seen these, and the other is votive candles....my only complaint is, the votives were from a close friend so i remember whos wedding it was but the coasters I have no idea who they're from. Then if you give out something with your name on it....no one will ever use it because who will actually use coasters that say Jen and John? Unless it's like your mom...haha. I can't remeber the bad ones, but thats honesly because they probably had the couples names on them and eventually were thrown out !

Best : An AMC movie theater ticket per person so DH & I got to go to the movies once for free. We saw Wall-e.

Worst : A cheapy white candle that looked like a wedding cake and like it was from the 99 cents store.

Re: BEST and WORST

Sadly, the only two weddings I've been to as an adult (not with my parents), there were no favors! Only donations which was a little disappointing.

Best: A bag of bagels with cream cheese and a newspaper as we were leaving at like 2:00am from the hall

Worst: well they aren't the worst, but i can't bring myself to use them so they are just 'sitting around'.. heavy metal-ish luggage tags.

I'm adding in Most Unique: a clear Chirstmas ball Ornamant with the couples monogram logo airbrushed on it.

Re: BEST and WORST

BEST: a glass angel suncatcher...I think my mother still has ours in a window.

WORST: has to be a tie between a single serving tea bag and a silver swan jelly jar - I didn't even know what to do with that thing.

My mother, though, got the worst favor....it was a postcard.

Re: BEST and WORST

best: a pasta bowl that I use all the time

Worst: a white lantern candle holder - it fell apart and I got cut on the glass so that was my worst (looked cute on the tables at the wedding though)

Re: BEST and WORST

best: donation to a cancer charity, since the bride's mother had cancer

worst: hmmm probably those coasters... I have gotten the same ones at so many weddings... but like someone said earlier, someone loved those I just didn't need them so they are sitting in a drawer!

Re: BEST and WORST

Best: Candy Apples at one wedding, Huge Black & White cookie at another... you can see a common trend... I like to eat LOL

Worst: Nothing... And I mean nothing, we walked out empty handed, and there was no donation or anything... granted it was still a good time, but not even a 'thank you for coming' was said and NO THANK YOU CARDS WERE SENT!!!

That's a little crazy to me... Show appreciation ladies!!!
