Best Band for Pop and Rock???
Hi Girls -
My FH and I are DYING to start going to band showcases but we just haven't made it out there yet due to work schedules.
Before we start, can anyone let me know if certain bands are particularly better at more contemporary music? We don't want any oldies or motown at our wedding, or anything you could find on K-Joy. The kind of music we like is a mix of classic, 80s and current rock/pop (Rolling Stones, the Who, Genesis, the Beatles, Erasure, New Order, the Cure , Pearl Jam, the Killers, etc).
We went to a wedding a few months ago where a Hank Lane band (Michael Hall band, I think) played these types of songs and we loved it. But I think that band may be out of our price range. We will probably spend a max of $10K because this is important to us, but we prefer to keep it closer to $7K if possible.
PS We've heard a lot of good things about Code Bleu and plan to see them, and we were really interested in Heart and Soul from their website but they're booked our date!
