Best man Gifts and Kid Favors?

I am getting married in 16 days, but whose counting! My fiance is stuck for a best man gift. Any different ides aside from watch, etc? And for the few kids we are having at the wedding, instead of giving them the typical favor any ideas on what we could give them for a spring wedding?? Thanks!! And let me know where and when your wedding is! :)

Not at all...in fact I just wrote someone else and listed all of the different sayings so it is no problem...

Best man Gifts and Kid Favors?

For the best man what about tickets to a game or if he is a beer drinker what about a membership to Beer Across America. They get a different 12 pack assortment everymonth from different breweries. As for the kids what about a plant set. You know the sets where you put the seeds in little pots and they grow. That is very springy and kids love to experiment. Hope this helps!!!

The beer across America thing is a great idea...how do I get info on that?

hi, i've only been checking this group for about a week, so forgive me if this is a completely inappropriate and intrusive question. its just that it seems the price of wedding related things on long island are completely different from the rest of the country!!! i would like to know how much you are paying your photographer and what services he/she is providing (how much time they will spend, engagement photos, how many proofs, albums included, etc etc). i realize this may be a private subject (money is always hard to talk about), but i found a photographer i love and i want to see how competetive her prices are. if this is inappropriate, i apologize again and please, someone, tell me to shut up!! :) take care everyone and happy planning!!!!

Oh God I dont remember. Try the internet. Someone bought that for me when I turned 21 (dont ask - I love beer). They have an 800 #. Maybe if you call 800-555-1212 and ask for it they might have it. I will look at home for info on it but try the internet or information.

You are also right about the importance of meeting with more than one photographer. I've met with 2 and spoken to three on the phone. The other photographer I met with was intimidating and kind of flacky. Her prices were slightly less than the person I really like, but our personalities did not mesh.

Best man Gifts and Kid Favors?

Jessica: I posted this under the postings below. My fiance was in a wedding last year. He recieved a nice overnight duffel bag, which he loves and uses all the time. He love it because it was practical. You can may get beach/duffel bags for the guys being that summer is coming. Maybe put a nice note in each bag thanking them and have a great summer, add a beer holder, beach towel, suntan lotion, etc. I don't know your groomsmen, but it's real practical and they are all set for the beach.

All of our vendors were prompt, professional, & very responsive to any and all requests we made throughout the day - The Milleridge Carriage House, Cassarino Studios, Designer Limos, Greenpoint Florist, Fine Time Entertainment.

And the quartet was also a big hit!

Hi,

Beer across america is at www.beeramerica.com

I think that is a gift that most guys will appreciate:) For the kids there are lots of things you can do from something as simple as a goodie bag, or you can get them some outdoor type toys. A cute thing to do for a spring/summer wedding would be to buy little pails and fill them with small age appropriate toys and maybe a lolipop too. You could even write their names on them in paint pen.

Thanks for your input. We are actually having our reception at a beach club so the beach duffel is a great idea! Now we see what the fiancee thinks!! And they all love their beer!!

When I started sharing my ideas on this board ten months ago, it was a real pleasure. During that time there were many disputes and disagreements that transpired. They would heat up for a day, and then dye down. For some reason the controversy continues on this site continuously now. It seems that people are more interested in keeping it going then sharing thoughts an ideas about wedding planning. That is why I was here not for all of the drama, since that is what the board has turned into the time has come for me to depart. I am sorry that I will not get to hear all of the details of some of the wedding planning that I have been following, and I thank all of you for you input, ideas and support throughout the planning of my own. If anyone is interested in contacting me please feel free to do so, via email, since I will not be checking back on the board. My wedding was wonderful and I have nothing but positive experiences to share with you all. If anyone is interested in any one the vendors that I used please feel free to also contact me via email.. They were all wonderful and I would use each and everyone of them again

Best man Gifts and Kid Favors?

ha ha ha. Good Luck

hi everyone... we've decided to hire a dj because bands are just so expensive. however, i think most dj's think i'm crazy!!! i've spoken to a couple of them and then don't understand why i don't want props and tons of lighting effects and just a dj (no mc). what i want is someone to play music for my cocktail hour and reception, make minimal announcements, and maybe have one pretty light that sprays stars everywhere. have any of you found a dj like that that you like (in suffolk county preferably)? i'm having my reception at the port jefferson country club and they recommend Apple.. have any of you had experience with them? thanks for any info and happy planning!!! :)

If you need further info feel free to contact me at anytime:-)
