Best Place for a Honeymoon

I am getting married on Oct 4, 2009 and will be leaving for my honeymoon on Oct 6th.

Can anyone recommend a place to go that I will not have to worry about hurricanes.

We like to do the beach and shop at night.

Thanks for your help.....

We picked Hawaii. There are tons of beachy/romantic spots but there is also the city and sightseeing. We figured it was the best of both worlds and we don't have to worry about hurricanes or leaving the country.

Well this may sound a bit unconventional to you but my FH and I were back and forth of where to go forever, We wanted to go to Paris but we cant afford it (and I have a 5 yr old and dont want to be that far from him) then for months we were definitely going to Sandals in the Bahamas (our date is 10/10/08) we had all the money set aside for it. Long story short we were like what do we really want. Well we like pools/beach but I am not into water sports and he doesnt eat seafood so were like maybe sandals isn't the best. We cant afford to go over seas so what else do we like to do? we love to go out to eat shop and believe it or not go to clubs...and We like to play craps at the casino soooo long story short 5 nights and 6 days in Vegas!! We got the luxury pools, unlimited shopping, casinos clubs (Paris!! hehe) and lots of dining options....i am soooo excited!!

Aruba... its outside of the hurricane belt.

Aruba is beautiful. And it's protected from the hurricanes. We stayed last year at the Occidental Grand which was an all inclusive in the 'hi rise' district and LOVED it. There were other really nice hotels next door that weren't all inclusive if you are looking for that as an option. Aruba has a ton of stuff to do or you can just lay at the pool or beach.

safest places are Aruba and Hawaii

I've been to both. Aruba better if you just want to relax during the day at the beach and gamble at night. Hawaii much better if you want lots of site seeing.

we are going to aruba - we dont want to do any sightseeing on the HM but we do want to have the option to gamble, snorkle, go atv'ing, etc. and i hear there are lots of things to do in aruba (like the things i just mentioned) - i also hear they have really great restaurants which i am excited about - we are staying at a marriot timeshare - ive never been there before but i heard great things about it - there are lots of nice places to go, it depends on what you want to do there - aruba sounded perfect for us because we want to lay by the beach (and i hear there are no big waves which was a must for me - i dont like rough oceans), we wanted lots of restaurants to choose from, and we wanted to be able to do stuff during the day if we feel like it....

how was aruba? did you like it? we are staying at the marriot surfclub, a timeshare - i have a feeling from reading reviews that it will be lots of families and kids which could be annoying to me - but im pretty sure we won't be spending that much time in the actual resort unless we are on the beach - not sure if aruba will be crowded the time we are going

Aruba, they are under the hurricane belt.

We went to Costa Rica and I think that's outside the hurricane belt but I'm not positive about that.

We went to Hawaii also. We left October 1 and went for 2 weeks. It was amazing and perfect weather everyday!

Aruba is Beautiful. Weather is great and beaches are awesome. Gambling is at every hotel.

The shopping is ok. The mall closes at 6:00. Its a little expensive there but otherwise a great trip. Marriott is very big but very nice. Take a walk along the beach during the day.

I love the Hyatt one of my favorite casinos.

And customs is a breeze.

Have a great time....
