Hi All! This is one of my first posts. I just got engaged on Wednesday and I am so excited to start the planning! People are already asking me where I am registered! (Does anyone move that fast?!). There are so many choices. Where do you think is the best place to register and why?

Avoid Target. I've never known them to get a registry right. It's unfortunate.

BBB was great with returns... anything I needed to return that they carried they took back... and if it was an item on my registry I was handed cash!
(note... if you need to return something that wasn't on your registry that they carry.. just add it before you go to the store! otherwise you can just get store credit)

I recommend registries that have a rewards program, where you earn points toward free stuff with every purchase someone makes. Macys & Fortunoff do that...I got almost $200 to spend at Macys, and $300 from Fortunoff.

BBB because you can get cash back for items that you return on your registry and Macys if you link your Macys credit card to them lets you earn money towards a gift card which was really nice.

I've heard that BBB is always awesome with returns and stuff.
I have not registered yet but I think I will register there, Macy's and Fortunoff.

Some people do move really fast. You might get some things from your registry as an engagement gift!
A lot of places also have a completion coupon, where you can get 10% off anything that wasn't purchased after you wedding.
No one mentioned Crate&Barrel yet, but they are my personal fav.

The best places to register are the places you shop at the most because that way you can exchange things you don't want for stuff you do want or get a credit to use later.
I registered at Macy's because I go there for everything... makeup, shoes, lingerie, bedding. So if I get wedding gifts from there that I want to return, I can just get a merchandise credit because I know eventually I'll buy something from there anyway.
