Ok...so after a lot of thinking and thinking and thinking, I have broken down and decided to see FH before the ceremony, so we can take pics.
It is really important to both of us to be able to enjoy the CH and since we are having our ceremony on site, it doesn't seem like well have enough time to enjoy it and I don't want to be rushed at all, I looooove photos!
soooo, where is the best place for photos???
looking for a place with pretty gardens but would love to hear all your suggestions! (wedding will be in sept or early october)

most likely will be CLM- but want to see Woodbury CC before I make final decision.
not sure where Im getting ready yet, possibly at FMIL's house in hauppauge or at a hotel close to the RH.
it will be evening wedding, so time is not that big of an issue.
how do i go about taking pics at westbury gardens, do you need a permit or appointment? ive never been there but have heard about it on the board.

I got married at CLM and got ready at my mom's house in Smithtown.
We did pictures before the ceremomy together (good decision) and did them at the Bayard Cutting Arboretum in Oakdale. It is a beautiful park. It was gorgeous in the Fall. You have to get a permit (cost about $100) but it's easy to do and worth it.

Old Westbury Gardens is beautiful. I've looked into it. I believe its like $450 or $475 for an hour and a half and you have to choose the places you want to take the pictures. Call or go to the website and they will have more accurate info.

I've heard CLM girls usually go to Venetian Shores or Argyle Lake. I was told by someone on here that Bayard Cutting is beautiful so I may look into that for myself...

bayard cutting is nice for hte flowers etc...thats in great river/oakdale we are doing CLM too and probably doing pics @ argyle lake (thats where we did e-pics) and venetian shores for the beach pictures.

Planting Fields in Oyster Bay is beautiful and is only $100 and unlimited time....
