Best stores to start the dress search in?

Best stores to start the dress search in?

I live near Huntington and would like to at least start trying on some dresses to see what I love, like and hate. Where should I go for a good selection, nice, non-pressuring customer service that's not insanely expensive? Thanks!

i am getting my dress from carmela's bridal garden on jericho tpke, and i love them there!!! they have a good selection, and the women are so nice. if its not too far, i really liked billage bridal in babylon - they had great service and a TON of dresses.

HI Irish.

First, think about what your budget is. My Future in laws live in huntington, and they told me I should go to kleinfelds in nyc.

Kleinfelds dresses start at $1800. So they were expensive. BUT they had a GREAT selection.

I think your best bet is to go to small family owned salons. they are more likely to deal in price and you can get really personal service.

It was the first place I went to and the service was phenomemal!

I really loved the Wedding Salon in Manhasset...they have a gorgeous selection in a wide range of prices. My dress was a sample from there and i paid less than 1/2 of what it originally cost. I worked with Mary...she hugged and kissed me when i found my dress and then we all started crying! haha

Bridal World in Baldwin was AWESOME.
Sherri was very patient, and very helpful. It was very relaxed atmosphere. I highly recommend the place.

I had a VERY good experience on Sunday at Lillette's in Baldwin. I'm trying to see if I can get my gown there. I found it somewhere else, but I'd like to buy it at Lillette's if I can.

I've also heard Burton's Bridal on rt. 110 in Melville is really good.

i loved lillettes, but wound up getting my dress at Bridal Suite of Bayhore. I had a very good experience there also.

I got my dress at Wedding Salon in Manhasset and the bridesmaid dresses at Carmela's in Huntington. And both places have been great!

I second Lillette's in Baldwin...I am getting my dress there and I love them!! Gerri is my consultant and she is great!

You should definitely go to RK they have dresses that are lower priced, no pressure to buy the dress and the customer service was really great. It's not so hands on like Kleinfeld's for instance but it was good overall.

If your budget is over $1800 i would go to kleinfeld, they have the best selection and you'll get to see tons of dresses in the style you want
