I'm having my ceremony at church, and first of all, I don't know if I should just have the half-hour ceremony, or if I should have the Mass also.
Second of all, I don't know what time to schedule it for? I'm doing it on a Friday, and my cocktail hour at reception starts at 7:30. The reception hall is like half hour away from church, but I must anticipate Friday evening traffic. When's the best time to schedule the ceremony for?
And lastly, I must take into consideration that it'll probably be getting dark around 4:30 in November, so that would be hard to take pictures outside then.

Re: Best Time to Do Ceremony?
I talked w/ my photographer to find out how long it would take to take the pics. Also, you might want to consider taking pics w/ your FH before the ceremony. Bart Stevens made me realize that when you are walking down the aisle with your flowers and 1-2 parents on either side, walking past Uncle Lester sticking his camera in your face, with everyone standing and your FH off to the side, you won't get a good look at him anyway.

Re: Best Time to Do Ceremony?
I have the same problem as you with the sun setting early in november... I am having a 300 ceremony and a 630 cocktail hour. my church is about 25-30 minutes away from the reception site. we are only doing approx. a 30 minute ceremony and then skipping the receiving line so we have more time for pics outside...
