Best time to send Save-the-Dates??

Best time to send Save-the-Dates??

How far before the wedding did you send save the dates?? Wedding is Nov. '05 so how much time do I have??? Thanks!

I think 9 months before is a good time. I sent mine a year in advance because I wanted to give OOT'ers plenty of time to plan.

they say about 6 mos, at a minimum. more if your wedding is on a holiday or over a holiday weekend, closer to a year in advance.

We are sending them out in January for our October wedding....so for us, 9 months in advance.

I'm a few weeks before you, and I will try to send them out at the end of January. I want to get our website and registry together first.

I sent mine out 6 mths in advance. August for February.

I sent mine out 5 months before, I don't have a huge amount of OOT guests and I think it was still plenty of time for them to make plans.

I cheated this year. My wedding is 12/3/05 and I sent out my STD in everyone's xmas card this year to save on stamps. Its a magnet so that hopefully people can put it on their frig and once the new calendar comes out, we'll be staring at them reminding them

I did the same- one of my co-workers already has a trip booked . . .

I am sending them out at the end of January, beginnning of Feb for my 10/01/05 wedding...

I did almost the same. I sent them out 7 months in advance so July. We have hardly any oot guests though. If we did I would have sent them earlier.

I sent ours in mid-November for our July 30 wedding. We have a lot of OOT guests, so we wanted to give them lots of time to make travel arrangements.
