The best way to ask is with yummy cookies from The Sugar Chic!!! Here's a pic of the cookie I got my girls. Melissa from The Sugar Chic customized the cookie to match the color of my BM dress and flowers anddd they are DELISH!!! I have more pics in my album including my ringbearer cookie that Melissa made for me too!
I mailed my MOH a card. She lives out of state, has 2 toddlers, so there was no time to get to see her. I tried to visit her through out the summer, and it just didn't happen. So I got a cute looking card and wrote a cute saying inside. There's also this site Has good sayings and idea.

Re: BEST WAY TO ASK
You can get a personalized puzzle of a picture of the two of you that says will you be my bridesmaid? She can read it once she completes it and can frame the pic. They have them on all the pic websites.

Re: BEST WAY TO ASK
Most of mine were assumed, so I just asked. Got a kick out of the one who didn't expect it - she cried, then I cried. You know how that goes.

Re: BEST WAY TO ASK
I did a double picture frame- one side a poem that at the end asked 'will you be my bridesmaid' and the other side a favorite picture of the two of us. Everyone loved them.
