If we are talking about Long Island Reception Halls, I will say that my friends wedding at Villa Lombardi's really was incredible.

I am not sure if we are 'reviewing 'wedding hall' or 'best wedding'.

Best wedding not my own: My MOH's wedding at the Vineyard Laurel Lake. It was perfect. Place, food, music and we had so much fun.

Regarding the wedding hall I'd have to say Villa Lombaris

Regarding the most fun I ever had at a wedding I'd say the Sand Castle

The BEST wedding other than my own? I'd have to go with one at Woodbury Country Club...by far I had the best time there than any other wedding I've attended as a guest and the food was amazing. Although I can see why a new thread was made [because everyone started picking their own wedding as the BEST one], I have to say that many weddings pale in comparison to mine NOT because it wasn't my own...but because of the grounds of the halls....I've yet to attend a wedding other than my own where we were free to 'roam' about the grounds and have a moment to ourselves and see the beauty that is talked about so much. I give exception to this WCC wedding b/c it was just too hot to go outside, so they didn't let you. That might be why I cannot say that I've absolutely LOVED all the weddings I've been to...I enjoy wandering off exploring the sites...if I'm stuck in a banquet room all day, I get bored...especially since DH and I don't really dance!

The best food on LI is definetely Villa Lombardi's. In NY in general - Russo's on the Bay.

The most I've had at a wedding was my best friend's wedding at The Riviera in Massapequa (the food was great there too).

Best wedding I've ever been to was my cousin's in Washington DC. The reception was at this beautiful mansion and they had these gorgeous gardens where the cocktail hour was held. The dinner was family style and everything was delicious.

Of course, the best part of the wedding was by far the band...I literally danced the entire night. That's what makes a great wedding for me!

The most fun i ever had was at my sisters wedding. She told us all 9 days before her wedding that she was getting married so there was only 9 days for the drama not an entire year. Her ceremony was at a golf course she worked at then she had a nice dinner inside (maybe 30 people). After that we went to Lilly Flanagns for her recpetion. She married someone that was good friends with the owner, so the closed up, decorated, and we had the dj's from BLI there. She bartended at Flanagan's, so she knew them.
It was so casual, and so much fun!

My sister's second wedding at the Snapper Inn. It was low-key, a small wedding, not formal, and everyone had a great time. It's what I used as a guage on what we wanted for our own.

All the years I went to weddings at all the 'major' places on LI, I never really payed attention to things like food and service!

Although I will say that I've been to my DH's company parties at the Fox Hollow and Flowerfields and I loved them both. I've always liked the Fox Hollow decor and Flowerfields at Christmas is beautiful with all the pointsettas and plants, and that big pond right in the middle.
