I AM ASSUMING YOU GUYS HAD WEATHER LIKE US LAST NIGHT...RAIN, THEN THE TEMPS DROPPED, AND THE BLACK ICE IS SOOO BAD OUT...A LOT OF THE ROADS ARE NOT TREATED, AS THEY DID NOT EXPECT IT TO FREEZE OVERNIGHT, SINCE IT WAS 40 DEGREES AT MIDNIGHT....
BUT I JUST BROUGHT FH TO WORK, AND IT IS HORRIBLE OUT THERE....LOTS OF SPIN OUTS AND ROLL OVERS ALREADY...I WAS PARANOID AND DRIVING ONLY LIKE 15 MPG....A RIDE TO HIS JOB USUALLY TAKES 10 MINS, TODAY TOOK 30...
SO, BE CAREFUL!!!

Its just that time of the year to be careful. It may take longer and since black ice is so hard to see (it looks like water) you may think there's nothing there.
Still, it really is better to be safe than sorry. What could possibly be so important that you need to rush and cause yourself be in an accident injuring others, yourself or even dying over?
I never understood that.
Im from Texas we get TONS of Ice. You just don't drive on ice.. you generally point your car in the right direction and hope for the best. I never understood how people got angry and some even acting stupid on ice or bad weather from road rage over other people just trying to be safe.
It's NEVER worth it. I just leave earlier and bring along a bagel. hehe You know it's bad and you know other people get extra paranoid. Why bother? Just go with the flow.
You ladies (and guys) be careful. Remember it's just not worth the risk.

I don't drive to work, but as I was walking out of my house I walked over what I thought was a puddle. Turns out, of course, it was black ice and I fell flat on my behind and went sliding! So embarrassing! Luckily I was still in front of the house so I went back upstairs to change the lower half of my outfit...pants, shoes and socks, because they were all soaked! Not a fun experience!
