Ugh i am so friggin stressed over money i cant even take it anymore. I feel like all i do is work but b/c im salary i have nothing to show for it.
I am barely making my bills. FH says i need to relax but he doesnt know what its like. he never has to struggle and that annoys me even more.
i want to get a 2nd job but everyone says i shouldnt b/c the last time i did i completely burnt myself out. But between hall payments, bills, driving around so much back and forth taking my dad to doctors and everything else i am just on thin ice with my bills.
how do you guys deal with the stress of everything

Re: Beyond Stressed
I haven't begun to deal with the stress because I JUST started planning, but I totally understand WHY you feel this way.
I'm hoping to just make a list and give myself an absolute budget and stick to it!! I actually did it for my e-party and it was one of the most NON-stressful events ever!!
Good luck0--you can do it!

Re: Beyond Stressed
If you get a second job try to set a particular time each day aside for yourself. Or even one day a week. Take nice hot showers or baths (drink a glass of wine) and make sure you have you time! I should take my own advice!

Re: Beyond Stressed
I find that i have to have my 'me time' Something to look forward to at least once a week. Also sticking to my budget is definetely helping.
Take a deep breathe and you'll get through it!

Re: Beyond Stressed
I feel EXACTLY how you feel!! I mean I was happy and comfortable before the wedding planning, but now im finding myself stretching too thin.
I started selling jewelery on the side to get some extra money. This way I can do my own hours!

Re: Beyond Stressed
I have been dealing with money issues even before taking on planning a wedding. I owe out alot of money to credit cards and my whole paycheck goes straight to my checking account. I don't have any money for myself. I brown bag lunch and don't shop (which is my favorite hobby). Luckily I have money in a mutual fund that I will use for the wedding but it's not alot. So I have to try to budget my wedding. Also definately gonna get a second job. I work full-time already in a store so I don't have set hours. I go to school 2 nights a week so I figure I will get a job hopefully 2 or 3 days a weeks. It's tough but you have to realize that all the hard work will pay off eventually.

Re: Beyond Stressed
Are there any areas of your life that could be downsized? Are you crazy about getting manicures, or going out to eat a lot, or do you smoke or drink on a regular basis that you could cut any of these things out? My advice would be to track your spending, write everything down for a week and see where you're wasting money. Did you originally think you could budget enough and you were wrong or are you spending more than you should?

Re: Beyond Stressed
I work a second part time job within my field.. but it's only once a week for about 4 hours for some extra cash and then on some weekends... but not tons and tons of hours because I didn't want to burn myself out..
Are you putting too much of the financial burden of the wedding on your shoulderS? can FH help out a bit? Can you cut down on little things ( my friend cut out stopping for coffee every morning and saved $60 a month)
try to de-stress a bit we are here for ya
