Isn't it the law in NY state that all kids when riding a bycicle need to wear a helmet?
I believe all kids to age 14.
Please send a letter to the parents in my neighborhood. Only the real young ones ever have helmets on and the older ones 'drive' their bikes like idiots- race out of driveways, ride in the middle of the street....
There is a little boy on my block maybe 9 or 10 and he rides his bicylce to school with no helmet on. It bothers me. But his parents don't seem to care. I even see him riding in the front seat of their cars. He mows the lawn on a ride on and has a motor bike........
My favorite are the ILLEGAL motor scotters that cost a few hundred bucks. They are illegal for anyone without a Driver's License to ride, yet for some reason every 13 year old seems to have one. How can you teach your child to respect the law, when you allow them to break it at 13? And not to mention the parents that cry and make a huge fuss when their kids are hurt and they want to sue the scooter company, even though the darn things are NOT legal for that age group.
