Bidding on DK books anybody know anything about them?

I want to bid on a lot of 22 but do not know how high to go. This is how the auction reads
' This auction is for 22 DK Eyewitness Books. They are all Hardcover former library books in Fair to Good Condition or better. Inside pages look good but many do have bumped corners. ALL of the Books are COMPLETE and ready to be enjoyed!

Your kids will love these books! (They retail from $15.95 up)'
whcih is true DK books are 15.95 on up . my son loves them and wanted to get some for him.
How much do you think I should go up to on this? bid is up to 70.01 right now shipping is 13.00

I've got one on Space and it's pretty good - lots of great pictures.

I got mine for $2.00 at a bookfair, but it retails for $9.95...

For 22? Maybe no more than $115-$120?

It's great if their educational and your son enjoys them - they'll be an excellent reference for school.

Good luck with your bidding!

Ive never seen them for less then 15.00 anyplace. these are the big eyewitness books. WHere was that book fair ?

He has a few at this moment and falls asleep reading them. He recently had a project for school on the solar system and just so happens he had the book which was great. I find them easy to read for kids evenif they just look at the pictures

I would compare to the price to buy them on Half.com. I looked and there are 3 under a dollar. Another 10 are between $1 and $4. If you can find a bunch being sold by the same seller, it may work out to be similar in cost to the ebay auction.

the one i have is an eye wonder book - a bit smaller than the eye witness ones, but also by DK.

The bookfair is in Virginia where I am - the last time i went i got over $120 worth of books for $47 or something like that. You can't really go there looking for a specific book, but you can get a lot of great ones.

Good luck with your bidding!

Dorling Kindersley is part of Penguin Group (where I work).

They are good quality reference books.

I have noticed that sometimes they end up in TJMaxx and Marshalls. Look there for some good prices.
