Here's a little background: Since I work in NYC I am unable to househunt with my FH during the week. We are currently looking in South Jersey. FH is able to look so he usually weeds out the ones he knows I will not consider and then on the weekends we both go.
My question is this: Can he put an offer in during the week without me; but still add me to the mortgage application later on?

Yes he can put an offer in without you. When you apply for a mortgage or sign the contract that is when you add you and your FH name on the mortgage.

Re: Bid/Mortgage question
it might depend on the listing......i know one house we bid on they wanted both of us to sign it before they would put the offer in....

Re: Bid/Mortgage question
My realtor had us both just sign the paper, this way, if one of us wasn't available, she had both our signatures on the binder. Or, if we decided not to put the offer THAT second when she was in front of us. We wanted to discuss things further in private... that might be an option for you ?
