Big Check!

Big Check!

Invites finally went out yesterday! Just an FYI, the post office in Manhasset was really nice about hand cancelling the invites if you're looking for a place that is willing to do it.

Re: Big Check!

Hand cancelling is hand stamping so that the invites don't get run through a machine. Not stamping as in postage....if you look at mail you've received you'll see a stamp next to the postage that indicates where the mail was processed and usually a date. That stamp usually comes from a machine but you can have that done manually so as not to ruin the invites if they go through a machine. this is not to say that your invites will definitely get ruined if they are run through a machine or that they won't get ruined if they are hand cancelled. I think you just have a better chance of them not being torn or bent if they are hand cancelled. Hope that helps.
