ok-- so my church is 3pm, RH at 7 (i can get the RH at 6). I'll prob be at the church till about 4:15 (if i do mass to fill time)...question WHAT DO I DO during that time gap. My RH is very close to the church, so i can't even fill it with driving time. and my wedding is in November so it will prob be dark by 430ish..... any suggestions for pics?... or something to kill time for the BP??

Talk to your photog, but your pics will definitely fill a lot of time up...........some girls have said their pics, family pics, bridal party pics have taken up to two hours...

I would just have the ceremony and have a little more daylight time. You can take pics at Venetian Shores in Lindenhurst. You can also stay there until dusk and then head over to Chateau La Mer and take pictures inside there, or out on the docks in the dark.

The sun won't set on your date til about a quarter to 6pm so you have plently of time to take all your pix in daylight after your ceremony. I would def do that to fill your gap and then you can enjoy your CH.

the weddings I were in had a similar time frame, and you really don't realize how fast time flies!! by time you finish up at the church and take pictures it will be 7 before you know it. plus you can always go to the hall early which is what happened with one wedding because it was pouring out. so we went and hung out at the bridal suite and ate.

Just saw your date, you have plenty of time to decide but if you want foliage you can drive up to Belmont Lake and it looks beautiful that time of year. You may even be able to do that AND something like Venetian Shores with the time you have. Maybe one spot with foliage and another spot like a beach.
