Who would have thought my biggest wedding planning stress so far would be the OOT hotel???? The two nearest hotels to my hall don't have what I am looking for and I want to scream. In an ideal world, I'd love to have a hotel that had capabilities to host a day-after brunch the next morning. My parents are not satisfied with offering our guests a complimentary continental breakfast. Also, it would be really great if the hotel had a bar that stayed open a little late just in case my guests wanted a drink after our reception (which ends at 12:30) but that is not a must.
Why are there no hotels near my hall that have a larger space/restaurant for a day after brunch?? Anyone know of any hotels that fit this bill near Mt. Sinai/Stony Brook/ Port Jefferson?!?
TIA!

Thanks! I've actually stayed at the hyatt regencey hauppauge and it is a nice hotel. My concern is that I did kinda want all my friends to stay at the hotel overnight, and the hauppague hotel is pretty close to where I am from (Northport). I was afraid they'd just decide to go home at that point.
I'm overthinking this whole thing.

Maybe Danford's in PJ or Three Village Inn in Stony Brook? may be a little more pricey...

When one of my bms got married at majestic gardens we stayed at the hotel right next to smoky bones on the way to island 16 cinemas, it was amazing the bar was great and there was a bonfire area outside where everyone was talking smoking and drinking!!!!!!!!! It was really fun!!!! I forget the name I will ask her!!! It was brand new too!!!!!!

We had the same issue. But thank god I found the perfect hotel with a bar for the afterparty. Just think outside the box. The hotel we are using charges extra to pay the bartender to stay longer and we have to spend a certain amount of money for the afterparty. I never knew that was an option at the other places I looked at - so ask lots of ?s!!!!

Yea, paying extra isn't the issue for me, it's just that there is seriously nothing close. GRRR. I think I need to email my BM and see if she has any other hotel options other than the 2 she originally reco'd.
