bilingual invites?

bilingual invites?

My fiance is German and we are inviting many guests from Germany and thus will have a fairly large number of non-English speakers at out wedding. For our save the date card, I was able to easily have both English and German on it since not much text was necessary. For the invitation, though, I am looking for ideas on how to do this.

Two separate invites? A folding invite with German on one side and English on the other? I think there is too much text to intersperse it. Has anyone else done something similar? Any ideas you have would be great.

I would do seperate invitations in the different languages or else the invitation will look cluttered and busy. Your vendor should be able to work with you on this as long as you provide the wording!

I did two different invites. On the outside, they look exactly the same

But on the inside, one is English and the other is in Chinese. I used a faded monogram for the american invite and a faded double happiness character on the chinese invite.

Now-and-forever.com indicates which invitations are suitable for bi-lingual invitations (you need to have enough room to write both texts)

Also, check out Milo Paper ...they can do bi-lingual invitations, but I don't know how much variety they have for wedding stuff.
