BILL LEVKOFF BRIDESMAIDS... DO THEY RUN SMALL?

I dont want my girls to pay a fortune for alterations and im trying my best to ensure they order th best size.. any advice DID THEY RUN SMALL??
My dress is 966

I have tried on the samples and the size 10 samples fit me, and I wear a street size 6 or 8....the 8 BL was just barely too small....

Don't run small - i wear a street size 10, they ordered me a 14 and it had to be taken in about 2 inches the full lenght of the dress, alterations were not expensive though.

I agree they don't run small I ordered an 8 had to be taken in 2 sizes. Cost me a fortune to alter. Don't order to big. Also the material stretches so have it tightly fitted because as night went on I was holding the dress up.

They do not run small at all. I ordered the BM's dresses online using the designer's size chart, which ended up being way off. Only two of the girls dresses fit with minimal alterations. The others needed to be taken in a lot. My friend's sister had the same problem recently too.

OMG i hope not. they ordered me a 0 for my friends wedding....i hope i fit in it now!!

We experienced that they DID run small for the entire bridal party that I was just in......
I went with the MOH she wears a street size 8 and was ordered a 10and it was way tooo small when the dress came in.. i wear a dress size 10 and they ordered me a 12 and it was tooo tight but too loose in the waist, hip (bottom of the dress) maybe it was just the style... we were style 552

Will the shop give you a size chart with measurements?

If you have tiny girls the smallest they go is 2....but I think they run pretty close to actual size.

I am using the same dress for my bm's and we went by the chart. I rather have the girls take their dresses in than find out they were too small

Go by the chart and the largest measurement taken. My girls wore 966 and they all ordered 1 to 2 sizes bigger and didnt need much taken in. One of my girls who is a skinny girl but has a large chest ordered her dress 2 sizes too big just to fit her chest~so definitely go by the chart. Besides, most stores charge you the cap regardless of what they do to it

My girls all wore a different style, but my friend wears a 16 normally and they ordered her a 22, and it fit pretty good, only did a hem a less then half inch in the boob area.. So I think that specific dress ran small.. Here's the other issue-They usually won't let you change the size they want to order, because the dress needs to fit over the largest part of the girls body i.e.: she has a boob job as one of my girls did, but a tiny body, she still needed a bigger size and then had to have it altered down.. Unless their body's are perfectly proportioned, its really hard to avoid a lot of alterations.. But it seems as if places other then the dress shops, give much better prices then where you buy the dress. HTH

I would say they run a little small. I am street size 6, but the 8 was just slightly big on me. The 6 would have probably been a little too small. Better to take in then out.

I wore the 966 for my brothers wedding in August. I was between an 8 and a 10. I ordered the 8 and it fit perfectly. It was a tiny bit big in the chest, but everything is a tiny bit big on my chest! Hope that helps!!
