Anyone else experiencing difficulty with the sizing chart for Bill Levkoff??? Everyone of my girls are off the charts and they are pissed! They want to put my MOH is a size 33!! She's at most a size 14, my FSIL they want her in an 18 and she's 112 lbs! Everyone is in a uproar and very annoyed right now. I didn't think that was going to be stressful at all because I let THEM chose the dress and now they are like 'just order me size X', it'll be fine - but what if it's not??? I'm at the point where I might just look for a different designer totally! The sizes are just sooooo completely off!

I have that link. It's just off the charts. It skips from size 20 to size 38! I mean come on! *** is that??? I am sooo annoyed!

I would check with another store and have the girls measured.But do keep in mind You can be a size 6 in pants but if your bust is huge they have to order the dress acording to your bust then so it fits.There would be no sense in ordering a dress thats only going to fit your bottom.

It's a 2-piece A-line dress though ... don't designers take that into account when they make these charts? I'm telling you that there is no way my 112 lbs FSIL is a size 18 in any way, shape ot form - there is just no way. And to top it off to put my MOH into a size 38 is just insane; she's a normal size 12-14, a 38 is a bit extreme!

I am wearing a Bill Levkoff for my FSIL's wedding on 6/26. I am a 34DD and wear on average a size 10 jean/pant. Sometimes 8 depending on the maker. Anyway, I am wearing a Bill Levkoff dress in size 12. They even have to take in the sides and bust.
Where are you going that they have your girls in those sizes? According to that sizing chart your girls will float in them. I wouldn't go for a different designer, maybe just another bridal shop!

The waist line on the dress is a little more snug than your typical A-line style of just being fitted at the boobs. I have to say normal is 1-2 sizes bigger than you normally wear , if one measurement is close to the boarder of a larger size (like right on the dividing mark) we went with the larger size. We made zip on bm's alts so its not like we did it for the $$ Its the same amount if we took it in 1/8 an inch or 4 inches plus there was always a cap on bm's alts. I'd say if your worried go to another store your comfortable with and have them measured to give you peace of mind.

my Bridesmaids are wearing that same dress. My sister and best friend are wearing size 6 they normally wear 4 or something like that. Now...my 12 year old niece ended up in a size 18, and she is a big girl. My SIL is a 14-16 normally and they gave her a 20, I think mostly because of her boobs. So I suggest your girls get measured again, something doesn't sound right.

My dresses were right. The sample is a 10 and it fit me perfect. My sister is a 16 and that is what they told her to order, etc.
Maybe its just the cut of your dress?

Even if you look at the size chart....there is no way a 112lb girl has measurements that are Bust 41 1/2-43, Waist 33-34 1/2, and Hips 44-45 1/2. They had to measure them wrong!

I just wore a BL dress for my friend's wedding. In regular clothing I'm a 6 or 8 and the dress was a size 10. Hope that helps.

My BMs just wore Bill Levkoff dresses for my wedding. They each ended up ordering a size or two larger than they normally wear and each dress needed minor alterations.
Whatever the girls measure and size category they fit into is what they should order....try not to look at the number.

Something's off.
I used my measurements from the salon & for a Levkoff dress I'd be a 14. Which is what I would be in my girls Venus dress. I am a 16 in my Jasmine gown. I' am usually a 12 in regular clothes.So I don't think its the size chart.
the size charts are for the all of the gowns, they dont' take the individual styles into consideration. The store should do that, but they don't want to order it to small & have to deal with dresses that don't fit. Did they tell your girls their measurements when they did it?
Maybe they could get measured on their own, and go by the chart & pick their own sizes.
2 sizes up seems about right though. Not a size 33!
Is there a different store you can get them from?

i ordered bill levkoff dresses and both my girls were 2 sizes up from their normal size. when i looked at my measurements it was the same thing.

My girls are wearing bill levkoff and didn't have a big problem with sizing....everyone got either the size they wear or one or two sizes up. My MOH has a large chest but wears a size 8 pants and needed a size 12 dress, but she normally needs to get a size 10 or 12 in dresses.
Something doesn't sound right with someone who normally wears a 14-16 needing a 38!!

I have to look into this more. I am going to a dress shop tomorrow and going to speak to someone because it just doesn't make sense.

Ask then to show you the size chart , with the girls measurements , and have them explain why they are getting the size thats being ordered.

I agree with everyone else. The size chart looks pretty reasonable, so the only thing you need to do is take your girls' measurements and match them to the chart. Go to as big a size as necessary so that each of the chart's measurements for that size are at least as big as the girl's.
The 112 lb. girl in a size 18 doesn't sound right, but if she's short and has a 33 inch waist or a 41.5 bust, then size 18 may be correct.

Does the sample at the store fit???? usually they are all a size 10. if the 10 fits for the 112 pound girl - which im sure it does b/c my 3 of my skinny bms they were falling down on them then order that size
