Billy Joel IS BACK!

Dear Billy (I feel like I can just call you by your first name),

I attended your concert last night at MSG. It was the best concert I have ever been to - and believe me, New Kids on the Block WERE awesome back in 1990.

Your music is literally a soundtrack of my life. Not many things are the same in my life since I was six years old...but one thing has and will remain the same; Your Music.

I loved all the obscure songs and sang with all my heart to the classics. You are an amazing musician - and the fact that you are a native Long Islander - well, it's the icing on the proverbial cake.

I know you are busy, but if you'd like to come to my wedding... I'll save you a seat...and the microphone...

I am seeing him next Thursday! YAY!

wow leese!!! I can honestly say I agree with you!!! You are making me want to go tomorrow!!! I have to wait til March 2nd to see him!!!!

Ha! Isn't he great...I might just have to bid on some ebay tickets. I saw him & Elton John a few years ago and I thought that was one of the best concerts I'd been to. But seeing him alone is always a treat.

And New Kids on the Block were ALWAYS awesome in concert - the 5 times I went.

FH & I were suppose to go last night as well but he had to work late...we weren't too upset because the tickets were for the last row and he didn't pay alot for them at all...wouldn't you know the other couple that was going with us did go...they call us around 930 last night from the concert...they were approached by promotions and were escorted to the front row ...at least they were nice enough to call once there to inform us of their upgrade...

FH & I were suppose to go last night as well but he had to work late...we weren't too upset because the tickets were for the last row and he didn't pay alot for them at all...wouldn't you know the other couple that was going with us did go...they call us around 930 last night from the concert...they were approached by promotions and were escorted to the front row ...at least they were nice enough to call once there to inform us of their upgrade...

Will I still have a good view?

The good thing is that the seats are in the 200 section

Yes, you'll have a very good view. He has a completely open stage and he moves around alot. He's very good about playing to all sides of the stage.

Have a great time!

ETA: I actually just bought tickets that are behind the stage in the 100s level for the April show because they had such a great view.

you are going to have awesome seats. if i were to go back, i'd go and sit there.

the saxes did a set facing you guys, he went over and played - that pic i have - he is right next to where you'll be. he REALLY plays up the back.

i had great seats. it was in the 300 section but i had an awesome side view of the stage. it rocked!!! FH was so impressed with me.

I feel the exact same way about Billy (I also call him by his first name on a regular basis). Since I was little I said I was going to write him a letter and ask him to sing at my wedding. I even know the song...'To Make you Feel my Love.' Maybe I'll get a chance to ask him on Thursday night!

I didn't even know he was playing until I heard it on the news this morning that his 11 shows are sold out. WOW! You must have had a blast Leese!

Those are awesome pics, Leese!! Thanks for sharing!!!!! I'd love to be able to see Billy live even just once!!!!!!!

I would have went but it was one of FH's coworker - who I know but not enough to go to the concert with - if it was one of my coworkers or my friend and her signifigant other no prob...plus I felt bad FH wanted to see him more than I did...I would have felt guilty...

I'm going next Thursday
