Birdcage color question

Birdcage color question

I got this birdcage to hold our cards. I love it but the only thing I am not sure of is the color. It is a pale green. Green is not really in my color scheme (my colors are pink, ivory, white, and champagne). I was thinking of painting it white. What do you think? I am open to other colors also, just make a suggestion!

It looks white in the pic, but I would definitely paint it if it's not in the color scheme... What shade of pink are you using?

The problem with painting it is that it could end up not looking good. It's very pretty as is.

What if you were to decorate it with nice satin or organza ribbon in your colors and/or white.

I too am using a bird cage that my Aunt is borrowing from a friend. I actually don't know what color it is, but I plan to add some ribbon to jazz it up.

Where did you get this?

Everything will be light pink but the flowers will be a darker pink.

I got it from MArshalls. It was only $19.99. it is very big.

I was going to spray paint it.. I don't mind if a little green shows through.

If I used ribbon wherer would I put the ribbon???

You could wrap it around the supporting bars, which would still leave the detail parts showing. Then you could put a pretty bow at the top. It would bring some white, to ofset the pale green. I know you said your colors are not green, but if its this pale a green, I don't think it would clash. Your flowers will have green with it a little. And I think its okay if not everything matches exactly.

Since it was only $20, there isn't as much risk in spray painting it. I'd just be nervous that it would LOOK spray painted. Right now it looks more antique-like which I think is cool.

Just my opinion of course.
