birdcage veils

I think it's called a birdcage veil. it's where you pin it in your hair and a little net goes over to about the top of her nose or a little lower.

anyway does anyone know where to buy one? I want all my bridesmaids to wear them. so preferably cheap ones! the men are all wearing zoot hats so it should all go well together

VintageGirl got one for about $50 from an online vendor, but apparently that vendor's prices have gone up. Maybe FM her for info.

I have a great site for DIYing them. A woman on it actually posted detailed pics in step by step format. The user name is Mia M-look at her second attempt. Those are the pics of finished product. Then scroll down again and then you will see the step-by step format. I saved it when I considered doing the veil for myself. On a side note, Jessica Alba in the Fantastic 4 is wearing one in front with a fall of chiffon for length in the back of her hair. Clips I have seen look awesome. They are coming back in style and yes that site that vintage used is REALLy expensive now because they are regaining popularity. I even saw one on a headband at H&M last week.

For your girls, you can also customize them for their dresses with clips and accessories. I'd check back to that website mentioned earlier, for ideas if you do go that way.

DANG IT!!! I just made my birdcage on Saturday. I'm pretty sure mine's too big, I like hers better, I wish I'd had the directions. Anyway, if you're looking to buy, there's Unveiled Bridal Designs
